Proposal to Remove Warning Flag for The Donor Foundation on Ref Finance
Dear Ref Finance Team,
We are submitting this proposal on behalf of the team behind The Donor Foundation, a memecoin that has successfully launched on the meme.cooking platform. We are requesting the removal of the warning flag icon associated with The Donor Foundation on your platform, Ref.finance.
Background
The Donor Foundation was launched on meme.cooking. The project has successfully reached the required soft cap/hard cap and crossed to Ref Finance, meeting all conditions necessary for a verified and secure launch.
Verification
The memecoin has been fully vetted through meme.cooking’s secure and transparent launch process, ensuring it adheres to our platform’s high standards for token integrity and equitable participation. We believe the warning flag icon is no longer necessary and are confident the token is safe for trading without any additional concerns.
Details
• Token Name: The Donor Foundation
• Contract Address: donor-1517.meme-cooking.near
• Launch Date: 3/22/56995
• Verified on: meme.cooking
We kindly request the Ref Finance team to review this proposal and remove the warning flag at your earliest convenience, ensuring traders on your platform can participate without hesitation.
Thanks for making the request for verification and on the DONOR token launch.
I just want to clarify that just launching on meme.cooking does not equate to meeting any standards of quality or otherwise. Meme.cooking is an open platform where anyone can list a token anytime, and any token that meets the depositors threshold (even if a rug pull) will be listed on REF.
REF is also an open platform where any token can be traded - anyone can add liquidity and trade DONOR now. However, the whitelist is a special curated list, a value add to users so they know which tokens are legit (avoid copycats), and minimise likelihood of rugs.
We are not in the business of gatekeeping, and generally whitelist most tokens from meme.cooking and other platforms as they launch. However, the way this proposal has been crafted seems suss and misleading. I am concerned that the project may be trying to gain legitimacy using the meme.cooking or REF platforms’ reputation in ways that it is not intended.
There is nothing in this proposal about the actual project - what is the memecoin? What are the plans for the future? Who is the team?
I propose monitoring the project for a couple more weeks prior to whitelisting to be safe. In the meantime, please provide more info about the project.
This was copied and pasted from the meme.cooking page, and you are correct in saying that just launching a coin does not equate to any integrity. I’ll answer your questions here.
The general idea of the coin is the ability to use the coin to donate it along with $near, $ref or $usdc, which will be staked in different places to generate yield. This yield is donated with the principal to add an extra 8-16% to a donation (1-3 year period), this way you donate more than your principal w/ crypto instead of regular fiat
The roadmap is available at donors.acroford.com, it has four sections (Initialize, Launch, Expand Features, Continuity - Names modified to summarize meaning)
The team is just myself and a few developers hired starting this as a side project alongside freelance work in a small startup
